Hair Today and Gone Tomorrow

I miss the long hair and so do some of the others, but Thanks to Locks of Love it will benefit someone else. This is the second time in less than two years! The first time they cut just 10 inches and this time at least 12 inches. I can still braid her hair. I love fixing her hair, because I have three boys and she's the only girl!

What's for supper?

Taylen loves the chickens! He has three favorites, Pepper, Mocha and Henny Penny! But, sometimes they like to run and hide. Can you figure out why?

This is where I found Tay and Pepper!

Now, wouldn't you run and hide? Tay is afraid he won't be able to catch them again so he needs to put them where he can catch them again. Tay likes to sing "Jesus loves Me" (his own version) to them, rock them, swing them and anything else he thinks of! Tay reminds me of Kelly when she was little, but he hasn't dressed them yet.

Where do I begin?

I know it has been a long while, and many things have happened since my last post. So here goes the updating as long as everything cooperates!

Dalton is 7!

My wonderful Mom is 58! (This is a old picture of Mom holding Devin and Dalton.)

I'm blessed to have great in-laws who both celebrated their birthdays this summer. I just made my father-n-law a coconut cream pie instead of buying a card. Of course I had to make Jon one too.

My one and only Dad that no dad can compare to turned 56 in September! My onery little nephew, Dylan, turned 3.

My dear brother, David and his lovely wife, Rachel celebrated their first anniversary in September. Rachel also celebrated her birthday in July. David and Rachel changed locations and plans when they got hitched due to the accident of our nephew, Devin. So, we made due with the changes and had to have cake and punch after the weddin'. (Up in the PICU waiting room, because Devin was very critical and his momma wanted to stay close by. -which was totally understandable- The wedding took place at a park across from the hospital.)The first cake pictured was for fun (those of you that know my brother) and it was for the mini reception after the wedding. The second cake is one of my favorites and is was for their reception after things calmed way down.

Uncle David's girl and boys except Dylan and Meghan.

My Dad's family: Jim and Connie Carnes, David and Rachel, Aunt Ella and Lora

My Mom's sister and her family: Darrell and Susan (they have four girls - Bailey, Elizabeth,Olivia and Gracie), Aunt Ruby, Rachel and David, Uncle Russell, Rebecca and Ben (they have twins - Matthew and Rae)(Forgive me if spelling isn't correct)

I know these pics are over a year old, but you just might enjoy looking at them!

The Cunningham's baby girl turned 15 in July. We have less than one year left before we start walking in the ditch when a car is coming! It just might be Smiley! We love you Kelly! Kelly was born while we was at camp in 93. We had her sister, Meghan with us at camp. So it was a great surprise when we came home from camp and there was the baby we had waited for. She was born a little early and very tiny. So almost every year we celebrate Kelly's birthday at camp!

It's Final!

On our way to the adoption hearing
Introducing: Taylen Arlo Wade

Tay (as we call him) loves to smell flowers!

We have waited for this day for some time! God has given this little man to us! He is 2 1/2 years old, but we have had him since he was 2 months and 1 week old. I have been his momma and security! We all love him! He is very full of life. He brings lots of laughter and smiles to this home! We cherish this honor to adopt him. It fell in our laps and we don't regret it! We love you Tay!

Grandma Wade's 90th Birthday Cake

Grandma Wade with her Grandchildren (2 missing)

Last week was very BUSY!! Kelly helped me out! Thank you so much Smiley! We made many memories! We started out by going to Dennis to the Amish store, but unfortunately the store was closed. There was lots of horse and buggies on the road. I snapped some pictures as Kelly was telling me I was sinning. Kelly wanted to get out of the van and squeeze and hug those precious little children! Jon's family was in for several days for Grandma Wade's 90th Celebration! I was busy baking and decorating cakes, Jon was busy scrapbooking and the boys (minus Dathan) was busy keeping us busier! One night Jon's parents fixed supper (ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, corn ....). Great meal! Thanks! It saved me time. Kelly and I went to Wal-Mart at 1:30Am Saturday to buy more powdered sugar, etc... Of course, nothing goes right when I want to hurry or I'm tired. Jon finished his pages for his Grandma's scrapbook Saturday morning and I finished the cake about a hour and a half before the party started! YIKES! Poor Jon transported the cake with Dalton's help and the bottom roses fell (not enough support? I don't know). So he came home and asked me what I wanted to do. (I'm in the shower) I told him pretend it came from Wal-Mart and be thankful you have extra roses! So, he went and fixed it! Thanks! Because I was running LATE! Well - Grandma was pleased with everything and it was a very nice celebration for a very lovely lady. I know I have rambled way too much. I could've added more, but I won't.

Finally!

My Crazy Boys!

Well here it goes!! I can't figure everything out, but I will finally start my blogging. Please over look any of my errors that might occur. My true colors are blue/gold (same as my MIL - LOL) and this blog seems to be challenging (for now), because I can't get everything down like I want it. Anyways, this is me and this is for my dear family and friends! Enjoy, because I enjoy yours! Sheila
